Filipino gay men are prominent in the Twitter Alter community. The study aims to examine their lived experiences in relation to reconstructing their sexual identity. In-depth interviews were conducted with four Twitter Alter users. The data gathered was analyzed using thematic analysis and explained through the lens of the Self-Discrepancy Theory. From the findings of the study, three major themes emerged: the motivation for using them, the benefits associated with Alter accounts, and the risks and challenges involved. The study reveals that Twitter Alter serves as a platform that enables individuals to freely express, explore, and reconstruct their sexual identity. This research highlights the importance of online communities in fostering diversity, inclusivity, and empowerment for marginalized groups in modern society. Exploring this topic may help lessen the stigma and challenge the prevailing views on expression of gender and sexuality.
